Access & Disability
East Lambrook Manor Gardens is a Grade 1 listed garden which we have aimed to restore and maintain in the tradition of its founder Margery Fish. It is a peaceful and beautiful garden and we work to provide access where possible within the limitations of a Grade 1 listed garden and Grade 2 listed buildings.
Facilities which are currently accessible to all include the Malthouse cafe area and a percentage of the garden. We also have a toilet for people with disabilities. The nursery is accessible with care.
Please Note: the main drive up to the Malthouse building is heavily gravelled and access to the front of the building could prove difficult for wheelchair users. For groups or individuals we can organise alternative access across hard surfacing leading directly to a viewing area of a large section of the garden with some manageable garden paths.
We have 3 suggested routes around the garden:
1 Fully accessible
2 Accessible with care – This route has 2 steps, uneven surfacing and narrow paths.
3. Not accessible for wheelchair users due to narrow, steep paths with steps, and over hanging plants and bushes
A map illustrating the 3 routes is available at reception upon arrival.
